JAMES & CO. PROMOTES VADNAIS TO MANAGER, ASSURANCE SERVICES

Travis Vadnais, MAcc, CPA, was recently promoted to Manager of Assurance Services at James & Co. Business Advisors/ CPAs.  His area of expertise encompasses audits, reviews and compilations, accounting and consulting services for various industries. Vadnais has extensive knowledge and experience in internal controls to assist clients in the prevention and detection of fraud as well.  He is a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, and is trained and experienced in QuickBooks training, setup and consulting, which is a part of the firm’s new small business services division.

Having previously served as Senior Accountant with the firm for four years, Vadnais earned a BS in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting from Southern Utah University. He has worked in public accounting for more than seven years including experience as an auditor with Moss-Adams LLP, one of the largest firms in the country. Vadnais is a member of UACPA, AICPA, Ogden/Weber Chamber, Sigma Chi, and the Breakfast Exchange Club of Ogden.

Prevention at Utah Non-Profits Association Annual Conference

 

As a member of Utah Nonprofits Association, James & Co. Business Advisors/CPAs recently presented at the largest sector-wide nonprofit conference in Utah. With more than 300 people in attendance, keynote speakers include Pamela Perlich, Senior Research Economist at the University of Utah and Tim Delaney, CEO and President of the National Council of Nonprofits.

Terri Ferran, CPA, CFE of James & Co. and Robb James of HP Enterprise Security presented on Fraud Prevention to executive leaders, board members, development directors, and program, marketing and volunteer managers.

Terri, a Certified Fraud Examiner with James & Co., spoke on how to detect, prevent and deter fraud in your organization. Robb James, a network security expert from HP discussed warning signs and tactics to mitigate fraud.
